People who dont like this place dont understand it. Just order a $6 margarita, eat the spicy salsa (reminds me of the old Jaime’s by the Capitol), order cheese enchiladas and enjoy!!!! This is old school, authentic, unvarnished tex mex at its finest. The service is excellent, the decor is old school and no frills. It is cheap and cheerful. The chicken fajitas were a surprise; soft, warm excellent flour tortilla, tender, excellent flavored chicken with a distincting and good smoky flavor, guacamole is top notch old school, american cheese garnish as expected. You will never run out of water with these huge glasses. The guy next to ke orders and swears by the hashbrowns and french fries…next time will try

Have eaten here three times since the last review and am happy that food quality is much better at Enchiladas Y Mas.
The regular salsa they bring to the table continues to be overly salty. But… ask for the milder salsa. Although it’s not spicy, it’s delicious and seasoned just right. My go-to salsa from now on!
The Best Authentic Flavors in Austin for an Unbeatable Price

Probably the best, most authentic enchiladas in Austin (coming from a San Antonio native)! And the prices are incredibly fair, considering the typically overpriced TexMex places that are ample around Austin.
I arrived just around the 6pm dinner rush on a Friday evening, and it was about a 20 min. wait. They run pretty efficiently, and we were seated in no time. There’s also plenty of parking across their 2 lots and street parking.
Service was quick and simple. The chips and salsa were good, and more importantly, the enchiladas hit the spot! I’ve finally found a decent place in Austin for enchiladas, and I can’t wait to go back.

This is our go-to Mexican restaurant in Austin. GREAT food and CHEAP drinks in a simple atmosphere. There is nothing special about the ambiance, but the food is so good and the prices are so reasonable that it doesn’t matter that there’s a drop ceiling and fluorescent lighting. The service is more than adequate and they treat you like family.
We love this place for an inexpensive, yet high-quality, night out.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Austin, Texas. It has become increasingly more popular over the years and for good reason. This place is a hidden gem and has some of the best Tex Mex food I’ve ever had. We always get the chips and queso to start. I could literally drink the queso by the gallon. It is so delicious, by far one of my favorite Quesos.
Next, the fajitas. They have such a great smokey flavor and they don’t skimp out in the meat. We got fajitas for two and we had plenty left over. We also got the cheese enchiladas which are drool worthy. Everything is made fresh and comes to you piping hot.
I can’t wait for my next dinner at EYM. It’s heavenly.
